We are small, yet very friendly and local charity where our priority is making a difference to those that need it.
We are made up of 3 trustees, all of which have decided to create a charity to help those who are vulnerable and become more involved in equine support and therapy.
Champion Jockey Oisin Murphy is our trustee, and he shares our passion to promote equine therapy as a way to engage, help and support those who are vulnerable.
We started in 2018 after two of the trustees, Lee & Liz, found that using horses and equine therapy allowed children and young people to really engage in a range of tasks. These tasks allowed them to gain more confidence, increase their self esteem and become part of a team to work together to also bring about better interpersonal and communication skills. After deciding to set up the charity, The Jean Foundation, it only seemed fitting that Oisin climbed on board as a trustee to help promote the services offered, to provide opportunities for local children and young people in the North West.
To encourage and inspire children and young people to work together, and independently through equine therapy. They will be able to ride horses, muck them out, saddle up, spend time in a working farm; endless opportunities to allow them to grow, learn and develop.
