Welcome to our friendly local charity, where our main priority is to make a positive impact on those in need. Though small, we are committed to improving the lives of vulnerable individuals through equine support and therapy. Our team consists of three dedicated trustees who founded this organization with a shared vision to help those in need. One of our trustees is none other than Champion Jockey Oisin Murphy, who shares our passion for promoting the benefits of equine therapy in supporting and engaging vulnerable individuals.
Our charity, The Jean Foundation, was established in 2018 by two of our trustees, Lee and Liz, who discovered the incredible impact that equine therapy had on children and young people. By engaging in various tasks with horses, these individuals gained greater self-confidence, improved their self-esteem, and developed stronger teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills. Seeing the positive effects of equine therapy, Lee and Liz decided to create our charity to provide these opportunities to local children and young people in the North West. We were fortunate to have Oisin come on board as a trustee to help promote our services and extend our reach to those who need our help.
Our mission is to inspire and empower children and young people through equine therapy. We provide a unique opportunity for them to ride horses, take care of them, saddle up, and spend time in a working farm environment. Our programs aim to encourage teamwork and independence, enabling individuals to learn and grow while developing valuable life skills. We believe in creating endless opportunities for young people to challenge themselves, broaden their horizons, and realize their full potential.
